Chris McDaniel on Immigration |
Mike Espy (D): "Separating children from their families is misguided. We can have secure borders WITHOUT punishing innocent children."
Cindy Hyde-Smith (R): "Distressing to me as a mother, but we cannot lose sight that US immigration laws must be enforced."
Chris McDaniel (R): Obama "separated children from families & the national press said NOTHING. Democrats were silent. But now there is outrage."
McDaniel: Strongly Agree
The push for amnesty for illegal immigrants is nothing new. Amnesty was granted to 3 million immigrants in 1986. It did little to solve the problems 27 years ago, and it would do little to solve problems now. The Congressional Budget Office estimates another wave of amnesty would drop wages for American workers for at least the next 12 years, exacerbating an already difficult situation for the next generation of American jobseekers.
McDaniel believes strongly that now is the time for the US to get a handle on the out of control problem of illegal immigration. He believes that starts with border control.
The Christian Coalition Voter Guide inferred whether candidates agree or disagree with the statement, 'Increase Border Security Including Additional Infrastructures ' Christian Coalition's self-description: "Christian Voter Guide is a clearing-house for traditional, pro-family voter guides. We do not create voter guides, nor do we interview or endorse candidates."
